Welcome to those of you joining me from Yourfirstvisit.net and those of you who have just hopped aboard. I am the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail loop.
It's a Jolly Holiday with Disney!
If you love the Magic of Disney, chances are, you love the Holidays. I don't think I have met a person who was passionate about Disney, that wasn't as equally passionate about the Holidays. It must be something about the enchantment that surrounds this most wondrous time of year. Like Disney, the Holiday's are a feast for all senses; the sights, sounds, and smells, all evoke images of pure joy, laughter, magic, and memories. I can't think of anything more joyful than being in the Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays! It's Disney Magic at it's finest.
With so many Yuletide activities both in and out of the parks, it can be overwhelming deciding which ones to choose, especially if time proves an issue, or your budget only allows for one "Holiday extra". With that, I would like to share with you my favorite WDW Holiday activity, Candlelight Processional.
Candlelight Processional is the biblical presentation of the Christmas Story. As the story of Christ’s birth is told directly from the bible by a Celebrity narrator, a mass choir and 50 piece orchestra ingrain the words of Scripture into the hearts of guests through traditional Christmas Hymns. Candlelight Processional is held in Epcot, at the American Gardens Theater, in World Showcase’s American Pavilion. With three shows nightly, 5pm, 6:45, & 8:15, you may find yourself wanting to watch all three performances! In addition, the celebrity narrators rotate on average every three days, offering you the opportunity to catch a familiar face!
Candlelight Processional narration experience: Steven Curtis Chapman.

Want to take the guess work out of trying to time an ADR (Advanced Dining Reservation) and making it to your desired performance? Add the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Not only will this give you peace of mind with reserved seating available for dining package guests, but is highly recommended, especially if you want to see the show at all! With Candlelight Processional being a “must do”, no doubt all shows fill to capacity. Those with the dining package are seated first in the theater, any seats left over are offered to those without the dining package. So, you’re taking a risk not getting a seat without it. Have the Disney Dining Plan? No problem, the DDP is eligible for participation in the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. However, if you are on the basic, or deluxe plan, this Dining Package will cost two (2) table service credits. Premium and Platinum Dining Plan guests will use one (1) table service credit. Those attending on the dining package will receive an adhesive badge to wear on their clothing. This badge will identify your performance time, and allow you to enter a line separate from those without the dining package. Another highlight to adding the dining package, reserved viewing for Illuminations!
Candlelight Processional Dining Package experience: Rose & Crown. Candlelight Processional Dining Package tip: Even if you have the dining package, please allow plenty of time to arrive at the American Gardens Theater. Seats fill fast, even during the slower weeks of the Holiday. If you arrive to close to show time, you may not get that great of a seat. Arrive late and seats will probably have been opened to stand by guests. Also, if on the dining plan select an ADR for dinner. This will give you more value for your dining plan dollar!
Not on the dining plan, again, no problem! Here are prices & participating restaurants for 2011. And for dining plan guests: Another tip, pick a restaurant with a higher price point, such as, Chef De France, La Hacienda, or Teppan Edo! These options will also help maximize your DP dollar!
